Et c'est quand m\u00eame un pouvoir cool \u00e0 avoir ! C'\u00e9tait d\u00e9but septembre que notre groupe a fait une promenade circulaire dans la r\u00e9gion d'East Grinstead. J'\u00e9tais d\u00e9j\u00e0 all\u00e9 \u00e0 East Grinstead pour le travail mais jamais pour une randonn\u00e9e et ce fut une charmante d\u00e9couverte de me promener dans cette partie du pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logistique de la promenade circulaire d'East Grinstead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Distance<\/strong>: 19 km (12 miles)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mont\u00e9e :<\/strong> 360 m<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Estimation de la marche<\/strong>6 heures 15 minutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficult\u00e9<\/strong>: Interm\u00e9diaire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Comment s'y rendre<\/strong>: Trains de Londres Victoria<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ce qu'il faut emporter<\/strong>: V\u00eatements et chaussures confortables, eau (2 litres recommand\u00e9s)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Points forts de la promenade circulaire d'East Grinstead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>centre-ville d'East Grinstead<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le r\u00e9servoir du bois \u00e9trange<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manger\/boire au Cat Inn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le Manoir Gravitye<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le domaine de Kingscote<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mangez \u00e0 la Tavern du Chemin de Fer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boucle d'East Grinstead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">D\u00e9but de la marche<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>East Grinstead<\/strong><\/em> est une ancienne ville de march\u00e9 situ\u00e9e dans le West Sussex, \u00e0 43 km de Londres. La ville est accessible en train directement depuis London Victoria (trajet d'environ 1 heure). Fait amusant : la High Street poss\u00e8de l'un des ensembles les plus longs et ininterrompus de maisons \u00e0 pans de bois du XIVe si\u00e8cle d'Angleterre. Nous commen\u00e7ons notre promenade dans le centre-ville et nous nous dirigeons le long de\u00a0<em><strong>\u0152ufs au plat<\/strong><\/em>. Alors que nous sortons enfin de la partie r\u00e9sidentielle d'East Grinstead, nous arrivons dans les champs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From water&#8230;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous descendons au <em><strong>Jenkin&#8217;s Wood<\/strong><\/em> et <em><strong>Jenhurst Shaw<\/strong><\/em> et enfin arriver au c\u00e9l\u00e8bre <em><strong>R\u00e9servoir Weir Wood.<\/strong><\/em> Le r\u00e9servoir s'\u00e9tend sur 153,5 hectares et abrite une communaut\u00e9 d'oiseaux abondante et diversifi\u00e9e. Nous suivons ensuite le sentier jusqu'en bas jusqu'\u00e0 <em><strong>Bois de Shagswell<\/strong><\/em>. Alors que nous arrivons au village perch\u00e9 sur une colline de <em><strong>West Hoathly<\/strong><\/em>, we &#8220;climb&#8221; our way to the finest dining of West Sussex: the <a href=\"https:\/\/catinn.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G\u00eete du Chat<\/a>. Nous nous y arr\u00eatons pour boire un verre (ou deux) \u00e0 mi-chemin. Le Cat Inn est une auberge ind\u00e9pendante du XVIe si\u00e8cle. Ils servent des plats faits maison utilisant des ingr\u00e9dients locaux dans la mesure du possible. Apr\u00e8s avoir march\u00e9 le long de la <em><strong>Bois de Whitestone<\/strong><\/em>, nous arrivons \u00e0 <em><strong>Lac inf\u00e9rieur<\/strong><\/em>. De l\u00e0, nous pourrons avoir un aper\u00e7u du magnifique <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gravetyemanor.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gravetye Manor<\/a> entre les arbres. Le Manoir a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit en 1598. C'\u00e9tait la demeure de Richard Infield et de sa femme Katharine. Leurs initiales se retrouvent grav\u00e9es sur une pierre au-dessus de l'entr\u00e9e principale. Parmi ses propri\u00e9taires c\u00e9l\u00e8bres, on trouve William Robinson, un horticulteur admir\u00e9, et Peter Herbert qui a transform\u00e9 le manoir en h\u00f4tel dans les ann\u00e9es 1950. Faites un arr\u00eat cette fois au <a href=\"https:\/\/kingscoteestate.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Domaine Kingscote, <\/a>&nbsp;un vignoble familial de 70 acres. Devinez qui poss\u00e9dait ce domaine avec une immense ferme du XIIe si\u00e8cle dans les ann\u00e9es 1930 ? Oui, William Robinson, notre c\u00e9l\u00e8bre horticulteur de Gravetye Manor !
