Le trajet dure 1 heure et 20 minutes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The tickets are quite expensive so the trick is to book two journeys: London Bridge to Preston Park and then Preston Park to Worthing. Preston Park is on the same train line so you don&#8217;t need to get off the train and change. By splitting your train booking into two, you will save money (depending on the price on the day you want to go, but it is worth checking if it makes a difference). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour le retour, prenez le train direct de Lancing \u00e0 London Bridge. Pas besoin de scinder votre trajet pour le retour, les billets de train sont plus abordables. Situ\u00e9e au pied des South Downs, la jet\u00e9e de la ville a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lue meilleure de Grande-Bretagne en 2019. Worthing est pass\u00e9e d'un hameau de p\u00eacheurs \u00e0 une ville \u00e9l\u00e9gante, aujourd'hui la <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Worthing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">15e zone urbaine la plus peupl\u00e9e<\/a> au Royaume-Uni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En sortant de la gare, r\u00e9sistez \u00e0 l'envie d'aller au bord de la mer car nous allons dans la direction oppos\u00e9e. Prenez Cross Street en sortant de la gare, puis tournez sur South Farm Road jusqu'\u00e0 Grove Lodge Roundabout. Ensuite, prenez \u00e0 droite sur Hill Barn Lane (j'ai l'impression d'\u00eatre un GPS l\u00e0). Tournez sur Fith Avenue et vous verrez un chemin menant au golf. Vous arrivez \u00e0 un carrefour, avec un chemin qui monte et un autre qui continue tout droit. Devinez quoi ? Nous prenons le chemin qui monte !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Cissbury Ring est le deuxi\u00e8me plus grand oppidum d'Angleterre et l'un des plus grands d'Europe. Il s'\u00e9tend sur 24 hectares. Le site appartient au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/cissbury-ring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Trust<\/a>. Le silex \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9 pour fabriquer des haches et des lames, outils essentiels pour le d\u00e9frichage. On d\u00e9nombre environ 200 puits sur la colline, certains atteignant 12 m\u00e8tres de profondeur avec huit galeries partant des puits et parfois interconnect\u00e9es. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">L'excavation des galeries par John Pull a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 des artefacts et aussi le corps d'une jeune femme, probablement enterr\u00e9e vivante lors d'un effondrement de galerie. On peut y voir (apparemment) une f\u00e9e danser, ou m\u00eame rencontrer un tr\u00e9sor enfoui dans l'un des puits et prot\u00e9g\u00e9 par des serpents, et enfin, \u00eatre terroris\u00e9 par le fant\u00f4me d'un grand chemin qui jura de ne jamais se reposer lorsqu'il fut ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 au pied du fort de Cissbury. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Bien s\u00fbr, la l\u00e9gende la plus importante est celle du Diable. Jaloux du nombre d'\u00e9glises construites dans le Sussex, les Diables ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 creuser pour inonder la r\u00e9gion. The purpose of the site is still unclear but it is believed that it was used for defence purposes, religious sacrifices and farming. The forest at the top, covered in fog, even though in broad daylight gave me the creeps. Lancing abrite \u00e9galement un grand parc d'activit\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La ville elle-m\u00eame n'a rien de vraiment int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 voir et la promenade jusqu'au pub au milieu du quartier r\u00e9sidentiel est un peu ennuyeuse. Nous sommes arriv\u00e9s au pub pour constater que c'\u00e9tait un pub sportif, donc pas l'atmosph\u00e8re cosy de pub de campagne que nous recherchions. Nous avons ensuite fait demi-tour et sommes retourn\u00e9s \u00e0 la gare, o\u00f9 vous pouvez trouver le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Restaurant_Review-g504224-d10157006-Reviews-The_Railway-Lancing_West_Sussex_England.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pub du chemin de fer<\/a> juste en face. Loin d'\u00eatre le meilleur pub o\u00f9 nous soyons jamais all\u00e9s, l'ambiance ressemble beaucoup plus \u00e0 ce que nous attendions et le personnel \u00e9tait sympathique. Au final, tout ce que vous voulez, c'est une pinte et un sourire, n'est-ce pas ?
