Il s'agit d'une promenade en rivi\u00e8re, vous marcherez donc sur des zones humides. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">N'oubliez pas d'emporter une paire de chaussures de randonn\u00e9e imperm\u00e9ables et une paire de gu\u00eatres. Son histoire est riche : elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 la r\u00e9sidence du cardinal Wolsey, qui a donn\u00e9 le palais de Hampton Court \u00e0 Henri VIII lorsqu'il est tomb\u00e9 en disgr\u00e2ce, et le centre d'industries en plein essor telles que la soie, le papier et la brasserie. Cependant, suite \u00e0 l'\u00e9chec de la ligne de train Watford-Rickmansworth \u00e0 amener de nouvelles entreprises en ville, Rickmansworth a souffert \u00e9conomiquement. Elle a retrouv\u00e9 son dynamisme dans les ann\u00e9es 1920 et est devenue une ville de banlieue gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'extension de la Metropolitan Railway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-to-the-river-chess\">Vers la rivi\u00e8re Chess<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Notre promenade commence dans la ville de Rickmansworth, sur la Metropolitan Line. Lorsque vous sortez de la gare, prenez \u00e0 gauche sur Homestead Road. Suivez la route et passez devant le parking des clients de Waitrose jusqu'\u00e0 ce que vous arriviez \u00e0 Park Road. Traversez Park Road et de l'autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, vous entrez dans Rickmansworth Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Prenez le sentier qui monte et lorsque vous arrivez en haut, tournez \u00e0 droite. C'est parce que nous voulions voir toutes les fa\u00e7ades de l'\u00e9glise, et nous avons donc un peu d\u00e9vi\u00e9 de notre route. Revenons maintenant \u00e0 l'itin\u00e9raire de la vall\u00e9e de Chess ! Une fois arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9glise, prenez le chemin \u00e0 gauche. Vous suivez ensuite un sentier derri\u00e8re les terrains de jeu qui vous m\u00e8ne directement \u00e0 la rivi\u00e8re Chess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-loudwater\">Loudwater<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">And there you are, the River Chess! At the start of the walk, the landscape is a mixture of green and tall yellow grass on the border of the river with trees on the opposite bank. Follow this path until you reach a wooden bridge. Lorsque vous arrivez \u00e0 Loudwater Lane, traversez et prenez le sentier de l'autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la route. Vous marchez alors sur un chemin cl\u00f4tur\u00e9 de part et d'autre par de grands buissons qui masquent la vue sur les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s priv\u00e9es. Au bout du compte, vous rencontrez Troutstream Way. Traversez la rue et entrez dans des prairies o\u00f9 paissent des chevaux. But actually, &#8220;<em>fermez vos oreilles<\/em>&#8221; would be more appropriate. Indeed, you would be walking on a footpath along the M25 (Hashtag smiley with a scary face!!!). Don&#8217;t be pulled off by what I just said, it&#8217;s a small pain for a great gain (or something along those lines). The Chess Valley Walk is really worth doing and if it is a such highly rated walk, it is because this little inconvenience on the way does not take away its beauty of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Lorsque vous arrivez au bout, prenez la passerelle pour traverser de l'autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la M25. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chorleywood\">Chorleywood<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">On the other side is the affluent village of Chorleywood, voted the &#8220;Happiest Place&#8221; to live in the Uk in 2004 and in 2011 the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.watfordobserver.co.uk\/news\/8942466.money-can-buy-you-happiness-in-chorleywood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zone la moins d\u00e9favoris\u00e9e<\/a>&#8221; in the country. On y trouve un ancien moulin, r\u00e9nov\u00e9 dans une maison en briques rouges, et \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 un banc. A premi\u00e8re vue, c'est l'endroit id\u00e9al pour une pause d\u00e9jeuner, mais le banc ne semble pas tr\u00e8s stable. As you walk up the path, you come face to face with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devere.co.uk\/latimer-estate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">De Vere Latimer Estate<\/a>. Walk on the side of the crop and then go down the hill following the path alongside Frith Woods. If you want to add a bit more difficulty to the walk, take the path going in the woods to get down. Saluez les Chilterns et la vall\u00e9e de Chess en approchant de Chesham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chesham\">Chesham<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Il est maintenant pr\u00e8s de la fin de notre promenade dans la vall\u00e9e de Chess. En sortant des champs, prenez \u00e0 gauche sur Latimer Road. Au croisement avec Rowan Farm, tournez \u00e0 droite. Au bout de la rue, vous trouverez un sentier qui vous ram\u00e8nera \u00e0 la rivi\u00e8re Chess, mais cette fois-ci, vous \u00eates en ville. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Suivez le chemin pav\u00e9 le long de la rivi\u00e8re jusqu'\u00e0 Moor Road. L\u00e0, vous pouvez soit continuer \u00e0 marcher sur Moor Road, soit tourner \u00e0 droite sur le sentier p\u00e9destre pour retrouver un peu de nature. Si vous choisissez l'option 2, vous passerez devant Christ Church. Les deux itin\u00e9raires reviennent \u00e0 Moor Road. Au rond-point, traversez Amersham Road sur votre droite.
