Cette balade facile et douce dans la campagne du Kent vous emm\u00e8ne le long de la Darent, \u00e0 travers des champs de ma\u00efs et de lavande, un ch\u00e2teau, une ferme-boutique et m\u00eame un viaduc, avec un \"Sunday roast\" pour terminer. Que demander de plus pour un dimanche parfait ? Le soleil peut-\u00eatre ? It&#8217;s like all the roads lead to the River Darent. This walk is the shortest version of the <a href=\"https:\/\/theflamingohiker.com\/fr\/otford-to-eynsford-walk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">D'Otford \u00e0 Eynsford<\/a> J'ai choisi cette randonn\u00e9e parce que je voulais emmener mes parents en randonn\u00e9e, mais en raison de leur \u00e2ge, je savais que je devais trouver quelque chose de court et de facile. If you are going after a rainy day make sure that you wear waterproof shoes or shoes you do not mind getting a bit muddy. Wear a head cover, sunscreen and sunglasses as the paths across the fields are exposed. Alternatively, don&#8217;t forget your rain gear if the weather is not nice for the same reason. Settled in the Iron Age, the village is not mentioned anywhere until 1668 when a reference is made during a court case. However, the place played an important role during WWII due to its location. Many manors were requisitioned by the army and used as bases for military operations. Fabriqu\u00e9e en 1920, la croix est l\u00e0 pour comm\u00e9morer les soldats tomb\u00e9s pendant la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale. Shoreham abrite un mus\u00e9e de l'aviation qui a ouvert ses portes au public pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1978 et o\u00f9 l'on peut voir les restes d'avions de la Seconde Guerre mondiale qui se sont \u00e9cras\u00e9s dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shoreham jusqu'\u00e0 la rivi\u00e8re Darent<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Notre promenade commence \u00e0 la gare de Shoreham. C'est l'un de ces endroits o\u00f9 la gare est situ\u00e9e plus loin du village proprement dit, ce qui signifie que vous devrez marcher un peu avant d'atteindre le village. Lorsque vous sortez de la gare, prenez \u00e0 droite et passez sous le pont. De l'autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 du pont, sur votre gauche, vous trouverez le Darenth Golf Club. Au bout de cette route, vous arrivez au village pr\u00e8s de l'\u00e9glise St Peter &amp; St Paul. Repassez sous le portail pour jeter un coup d'\u0153il \u00e0 l'\u00e9glise. Revenez sur Darenth Way et au bout, vous trouverez un sentier sur la rive de la rivi\u00e8re Darent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La rivi\u00e8re Darent<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The name Darent means &#8220;<em>eau propre<\/em>&#8221; as the water flows on a bed of chalk. This pure water explains the development of the paper industry in the region. The River Darent takes its source in Westerham, Kent, and flows all the way to Dartford where it joins the River Thames. There is a 19 miles (31 km) path following the River Darent called the &#8220;<em>Darent Valley Path&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marcher sur le chemin de halage le long de la rivi\u00e8re. Traversez les champs et vous arriverez bient\u00f4t pr\u00e8s d'un pr\u00e9 avec une structure en bois et des vaches qui font la sieste \u00e0 l'ombre. Vous arrivez dans une ferme avec des vaches dans le pr\u00e9 et un ruisseau avec un mini moulin \u00e0 vent. La construction du ch\u00e2teau actuel a commenc\u00e9 en 1497.
