L'endroit est un point d'int\u00e9r\u00eat car vous y trouvez les deux <strong><em>National Trust<\/em><\/strong> propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de Box Hill, o\u00f9 nous allons lors de cette promenade et <strong><em>Polesden Lacey<\/em><\/strong>. Le parc Norbury, o\u00f9 nous passons \u00e9galement lors de notre promenade, est situ\u00e9 au nord du village. En face de la chapelle, vous trouvez le portail d'entr\u00e9e d'une propri\u00e9t\u00e9 priv\u00e9e avec un jardin bien entretenu \u00e0 l'arri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Vous entrez ensuite dans des champs de verdure tendre jusqu'\u00e0 des prairies dor\u00e9es o\u00f9 paissent des vaches. Au bout du sentier, vous arrivez dans une prairie o\u00f9 des moutons se reposent au soleil (si vous avez de la chance et qu'il fait beau le jour de votre promenade). Il a achet\u00e9 le terrain en 1850 et comme la ligne de chemin de fer reliant Leatherhead \u00e0 Dorking traversait le domaine, il a ordonn\u00e9 que chaque viaduc soit construit en couleurs vives avec corniches et parapets. Apr\u00e8s de nombreuses demandes de sa part, une gare a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite, qui est la gare m\u00eame \u00e0 laquelle nous sommes arriv\u00e9s. Il a \u00e9galement obtenu le droit d'arr\u00eater n'importe quel train qu'il voulait lorsqu'il passait par la gare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mickleham-village\">Village de Mickleham<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Vous arrivez ensuite au village de <strong><em>Mickleham<\/em><\/strong>, Surrey. Le village est situ\u00e9 sur l'ancienne voie romaine, <strong><em>Rue Stane<\/em><\/strong>, linking London to Chichester. It is also mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
