Vous pouvez \u00e9galement prendre le bus R1 et descendre \u00e0 High Street\/ Worlds End Lane (arr\u00eat M), l'arr\u00eat le plus proche du d\u00e9but de notre promenade. De l\u00e0, le d\u00e9but de la promenade circulaire de Cudham se trouve \u00e0 1,2 km (0,7 miles) sur un sentier forestier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parc national de High Elms<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Nous commen\u00e7ons le sentier au <strong><em>Parc national de High Elms<\/em><\/strong>. Ce n'est qu'en 1808, lorsque le banquier prosp\u00e8re John William Lubbock acheta les terres, que le domaine devint une r\u00e9sidence de campagne priv\u00e9e. En 1840, son fils, \u00e9galement appel\u00e9 John, qui a h\u00e9rit\u00e9 des terres, fait construire un manoir. En 1938, le domaine fut vendu \u00e0 la municipalit\u00e9 et devint un centre de formation d'infirmi\u00e8res. Il est ensuite devenu un espace public, mais le manoir, d\u00e9truit par un incendie en 1967, n'existe plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Poursuivez votre promenade \u00e0 travers les bois et vous arriverez bient\u00f4t sur un sentier flanqu\u00e9 de part et d'autre de h\u00eatres. Ce sentier, situ\u00e9 sur le point le plus haut du domaine, s'appelle <strong><em>Promenade des h\u00eatres<\/em><\/strong>. Suivez les panneaux indicateurs de la promenade circulaire de Cudham pour d\u00e9couvrir des champs verdoyants \u00e0 perte de vue, des tunnels d'arbres, des routes de campagne et des zones bois\u00e9es. L'actuel High Elms Golf Club s'est install\u00e9 \u00e0 cet endroit en 1967. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En traversant le terrain de golf, nous sommes de retour dans les bois o\u00f9 nous avons commenc\u00e9 la promenade circulaire de Cudham.
